Our Manufacturing Process
How Liuli Art Comes to Life
We combine heritage techniques with modern refinement. Here’s how our liuli artworks are created:

Step 1: Creative Design
Initial concept sketches reflect the symbolism, form, and purpose of the piece.

Step 2: Clay Sculpting
The prototype is hand-sculpted in clay to define shape and surface details.

Step 3: Silicone Mold Making
A flexible silicone mold is created to capture fine sculptural lines.

Step 4: Wax Pouring
Molten wax is poured into the silicone mold to form the wax model.

Step 5: Wax Model Finishing
The wax piece is trimmed and refined by hand to ensure accuracy.

Step 6: Plaster Shell Molding
The wax model is enclosed in a heat-resistant plaster mold.

Step 7: Kiln Dewaxing
The mold is slowly heated to remove wax and prepare for glass filling.

Step 8: Refractory Mold Completion
The result is a solid, empty mold ready for high-temperature casting.

Step 9: Glass Material Weighing
Colored glass chunks are carefully selected and weighed per mold size.

Step 10: Kiln Casting (Sintering)
The mold and glass are fired in a kiln over several days at 1000°C+.

Step 11: Mold Removal
Once cooled, the plaster mold is broken away to reveal the raw glass form.

Step 12: Rough Grinding
The piece undergoes coarse grinding to remove excess edges and surface texture.

Step 13: Detail Refining
All edges, patterns, and surfaces are further refined by hand.

Step 14: Polishing
Multiple levels of sanding and buffing restore clarity and color depth.

Step 15: Final Polishing & Inspection
The sculpture undergoes final hand-polishing and detailed inspection to ensure clarity, balance, and flaw-free surfaces.

Step 16: Finished Piece Presentation
The completed artwork is ready for packaging or display — each piece is a celebration of light, form, and craftsmanship.
